TOTAL VISITORS FROM 2008:

The Chorus Line 231

As expected Barisan Nasional party leaders, Cabinet Ministers and assorted beneficiaries of the Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi flip-flop regime lined up metaphorically behind him to shout their support for the leader over the intransigence of Dato Yong Teck Lee and the Sabah Progressive Party.

The SAPP’s motion of no confidence will not bring down Dato Abdullah’s Government even if the opposition were to throw in their votes behind SAPP. The likelihood is that the opposition will not. They know it would be an exercise in futility. In any case the Speaker will not allow the motion or debate on it. So it looks like the SAPP is going to get nowhere.

But Dato Seri Abdullah and the Chorus Line should not gloat. They should realise that every time Dato Seri Abdullah demonstrates his grip over UMNO and Barisan Nasional, everytime the Chorus Line trotted their piece, they evoke disgust among the public.

That was what happened before the 2008  General Elections. From the chorus of support and the apparent lack of adverse criticisms against the Government of Dato Seri Abdullah, it looked as if the BN was popular and would romp home with the 2004 kind of results.

But actually the muzzled members of UMNO and UMNO supporters and also the members of the other BN parties as well as the public harboured a strong dislike of what they saw as self-serving sycophants. When they showed their lack of gratefulness for their good fortune to be given the right to govern they angered a lot of people. Ingrates are never popular in any society.

UMNO may have 3.5 million members but even if all of them voted there would still be constituencies where they would not win. Their success depended much on non-member supporters. Dato Seri Abdullah had no way of bribing or threatening them.

He could not summon them to be told to support BN candidates or himself.

These people had become alienated from the BN. And the muzzled ordinary UMNO and BN members had also been alienated.

Assuming that Dato Seri Abdullah could control the 3,000 UMNO branches, the 200 UMNO divisions and the 2,500 specially selected representatives at the UMNO General Assembly there would still be more than a million ordinary members of UMNO who could not be bribed or threatened.

Every time Dato Seri Abdullah came up with ridiculous policies and commit administrative and political flip-flop the Chorus Lines, the Supreme Council and the Division heads may shout their support but the majority of the rank and file would become more disgusted. And they would resolve not to vote for UMNO or the BN.

So what will happen? Unable to do anything of consequence now these alienated people can only wait for the next election as they did for the 2008 Elections. If the results of the 12th General Election is anything to go by, the 13th General Election will be even worse than the 12th General Election for the BN.

Umno will lose and lose badly. Dato Seri Abdullah can blame the voters for sabotage but as UMNO and BN are unwilling to take heed of the voters’ displeasure in 2008, the only choice they have will be to rid themselves of Dato Seri Abdullah through destroying UMNO and the BN.

Its too bad but what else can they do.

There will be no rewards for the Chorus Line and the other sycophants, including Dato Seri Najib when the BN loses to the opposition coalition.

Is this scenario likely? Well, did Abdullah and Co. think the 2008 losses were likely before they decided to hold the elections?

The few sensible UMNO leaders left should think about this. If you join the people who are obviously destroying UMNO, you will be cursed by future generations for your betrayal of their heritage.

Bak kata Tun: MANUSIA INI TIDAK MENDENGAR APA-APA. TIDAK MELIHAT APA-APA.

  5. merongwangsa Jun 26,2008 8:31 AM

    Salam sejahtera Tun,
Walau apa mereka kata, walau apa-apa yang dikata, sebanyak mana org berkata2, walau apa keadaan pun, yang nyata dan tetap menjadi kenyataan ialah MALAYSIA TERPAKSA MENUNGGU SERATUS ATAU DUA RATUS TAHUN LAGI UNTUK MEMPUNYAI PERDANA MENTERI YANG BERKALIBER SEPERTI TUN.Kenyataan tetap kenyataan. Tun, Malaysia will miss you forever!!!

    Salam sejahtera YAB Tun,
Semoga YAB Tun ceria selalu disamping keluarga.

    dear Dr M
I heard that the Governer of Bank Negara decided earlier today to quit but was forced to keep it tight by the mamak Finance Minister. Her reason was that she needed to increase interest rates due to the rising inflation. She is only doing what she is suppose to do, nothing more nothing less.
What can you expect from Sabah? Do more or less that what they are expected to do? Come on Dr M, you are more than that.
Politics is about momentum, when the time is right – strike. If you don’t, you got to wait a long time before the time is right again. SAPP has got the momentum going, and given the statement of the strike, when it happens, sometime between now and July 15.
Why these dates? Will the G.E. be called on 15 July? Will there be enough momentum to get the no confidence motion a good ‘strike’ before that date? You will know my dear Dr M. I am after all a layman will no political affliation and no money to be ‘up there’ with the 4th floor boys.
Remember Gorbachov, remember the Tzars, remember Zimbabwe, remember Sierra Leone. We don’t want Malaysia to become exactly that !

Dalam kes yong teck lee (SAPP) pun sama, apabila dia buat kenyataan “vote of no confiodence”. maka pak lah akan suruh BPR siasat. Apa punya mentaliti PM kita la.. malu malu.
dia guna cara ugut.. siapa yang lawan dia dia ugut ugut.. macam budak22. memang jahat dan munafik manusia macam Dollah badawi ni.

TAKE FOR GRANTED” semuanya sama sahaja. Apapun jadi pada politik negara mereka beranggapan TIADA SESUATU PUN AKAN MERUBAH KEHIDUPAN MEREKA. JANJI DAPAT KERJA CARI REZEKI BANTU KELUARGA, SUPPORT ANAK BINI SELEBIHNYA AKU TAK PEDULI.
    2. Walaupun Tanah Melayu kehilangan Singapura dan disusuli dengan kehilangan kuasa politik melayu di Pulau Pinang mereka tetap tak peduli kerana beranggapan “INI TANAH MELAYU NEGARAKU. TAK APA , TAK KAN JADI APA-APA (Confort Zone).
    3. Walaupun satu ketika dulu Tun pernah menarik balik imuniti raja-raja, ramai masih lagi tak peduli kerana tak nampak significant atau kepentingan institiusi Beraja pada mereka dan bangsa Melayu.
KILLING ME SOFTLY WITH HIS SONG lagu yang amat sesuai mengambarkan sifat orang Melayu. MELAYU KALAU KENYANG MACAM ULAR SAWA, MUSUH DUDUK ATAS BELAKANG PUN TAK BUAT APA.
Tetapi kepimpinan sekarang TAK RETI semua itu. TAK PANDAI BUAT MACAM TUN. DIORANG naikkan harga minyak, DIORANG biarkan harga barang melambung, DIORANG bercakap banyak berbohong, DIORANG biarkan rakyat MENDERITA, LAPAR, TERSIKSA DAN TERANIAYA.

    Ravi.
Tun is not being a sour grape, you moron. He is stating what most of us feel. You are still clueless on the actual politic scenario that’s hapenning here. For your simple brain, what you see is what the government want you to see.
And what Tun is doing now is no silly game. Being a responsible citizen and an ex PM who loves this country, he is trying to save it from beng run down by some greedy leaders. If Tun had done any misdeed during his tenure, he would have kept quite and spend the rest of his life elsewhere in peace and don’t bother about Malaysia. Only morons like you can’t see the sincerity of Tun action.
If you love Pak Lah so much, why don’t you visit his blog and ABC (assistant ball carrier)him. You can praise and kiss his feet for your heart content and we won’t care.

  16. Steven70 Jun 24,2008 8:57 PM

BN should take care the grievance of the people from Sabah as highlighted by SAPP. All the bullshit about expelling SAPP from BN must be put aside indefinitely!!! Why BN always diverting the real problem?!!!
What i see is BN is still dreaming and never wake up. Hello, we all citizen already living in a IT cyberspace world and technology and not what you see in your dream like we are living on top of the tree. BN can’t cheat us already and sooner BN will be toppled by PR.
BN with flip flop PM, with deputy (murderer) PM and bunch of sidekicks are no match for PR with genius DSAI, outspoken LKS (and son LGE) and religious Tok Guru in terms of good governance, transparency and accountability. We all new generation of citizen are going to show you in the next election what we wanted.
BN please step aside and get out from our face until you wake up and serve what we want you to.
    To hell with BN!

    ASSALAMUALAIKUM YBG TUN,
IZINKAN SAYA MELUAHKAN KATA-KATA IN KEPADA YBG DSAAB. WAHAI DSAAB, DENGARLAH SERUAN KAMI RAKYAT MALAYSIA YANG CINTAKAN KEHARMONIAN SERTA KEAMANAN. JANGANLAH TUAN PEKAKKAN TELINGA SERTA BUTAKAN MATA TERHADAP NASIHAT SERTA PANDANGAN YANG BAIK DARI PEMIMPIN TERDAHULU. MEMANG TIDAK SEMUANYA BAIK DAN TIDAK SEMUANYA BURUK TETAPI BAK KATA PEPATAH MELAYU, YANG BAIK JADIKAN TAULADAN, YANG BURUK JADIKAN SEMPADAN.
SEKIRANYA TUAN MASIH BERTERUSAN DENGAN SIKAP TUAN YANG DIUMPAMAKAN BODOH TAK RETI AJAR, CERDIK TAK BOLEH TUMPANG, MAKA KAMI RAKYAT MALAYSIA AMAT KHUATIR KALAU-KALAU ANAK CUCU KAMI NANTI AKAN MEREMPAT DI TANAH AIR SENDIRI SEDANGKAN INILAH SAHAJA SATU-SATU NYA TANAH TUMPAH DARAH KAMI YANG ADA. SEKIAN.

  18. emville Jun 24,2008 11:26 AM

Dah sampai SAPP nak buat vote of no confidence pun masih tak paham2 lagi? Balik2 isu pasal kesetiaan pada UMNO dan BN. Yg best tu boleh pulak BPR nak siasat Yong Teck Lee. Ingat rakyat semua ni budak2 ka?
Looks like the next PRU, parti2 pembangkang ni tak payah bekerja keras sangat la utk tawan Putrajaya. Sedih sedih……saya yg dah sejak azali ni dok la pangkah UMNO dan BN pun dah mula rasa muak dgn sandiwara Pak Lah ni.

  19. thaiso Jun 24,2008 10:02 AM

    Salam Tun.
Member baik saya seorang tauke kad prepaid berkata ‘Dulu Mahathir kurangkan kuasa Sultan, tapi Abdullah tambahkan kuasa Sultan’.
    Terima kasih Tun.

  20. Zubli Zainordin Jun 24,2008 9:19 AM

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, para Menteri kabinet Abdullah Ahmad Badawi dan ahli Parlimen Barisan Nasional, sekadar hanya seperti penyanyi latar sahaja.

  21. Maverick Jun 24,2008 8:59 AM

    Dear Tun,
It’s good to see ur writings again. Anyway, just wanna see u fight for us again and we’ll support u in any way we can. Keep it up!!

  22. Abejak Jun 24,2008 8:37 AM

    Y Bhg Tun..

    TUN,
saya org kedah, bekas budak kolej macam tun, paling tak percaya tun, saya pun doktor jugak, dulu masa mak saya dalam pantang dia kata dia makan ubat klinik MAHA…. masa kecik kecik dulu saya dok memilau kot tepi kilang ais tepi rumah tun tu la…la ni dah pagaq elok
Saya rasa tun …. gang UMNO ni dah tak peduli kat org biasa macam kami ni dah tun, alasan nak kongsi kesusahan etc apa yg kongsi …depa dok kaya ada saham sana saham sini … yg kita ni ada apa …naik waja buruk pi mai pi mai hospital rawat pesakit … minyak naik …claim milage pun dok 70 sen sekilometer. kena jalan 4 kilometer baru boleh bayaq minyak seliter.
saya ni kira tergulong dalam kumpulan 4 tun tu….tunggu masa saja

  24. mustafa aziz Jun 24,2008 7:17 AM

  26. SHAZ Jun 24,2008 6:32 AM

“Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) members of parliament (MPs) were voted in on the Barisan Nasional (BN) ticket in the March 8 election and as such should be more responsible and uphold BN discipline, said Information Minister Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek.
He said it was not the BN way to question its leadership.
“Like in a family, it is not right for a member to talk bad about the family to outsiders, what more to cooperate with enemies of the family just because they promised better things.”
    Salam Tun and all,
    1) What is the BN way?
All ministers and members behave like “lembu cucuk hidung”?
    2) Like a family?
Only now, he realised that he was adopted into not just dumb but
extremely stupid family. Daddy ask to eat shit, all the children
will eat shit. So he decided to take a flight. Whats wrong with
    that?
Why can’t anyone question another person, be it their parents, teachers or leaders when something unacceptable took place?
Are we still subscribing to the old mentalities of respect the elders and make sure to keep mum on wrongdoings?
Can we Melayu progress when we are kept silence by our traditions, Datuk Ahmad Shabery & co?

    Assalamualaikum Ayahanda Tun..
Kata orang puteh “no flip-flop lah”..
Amin..

Harapan editorialblog ialah artikel ini akan dibaca sendiri oleh Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak, ahli Majlis Tertinggi Umno dan Ketua Bahagian Umno Bahagian serta ahli Jawatankuasa Bahagian Umno seluruh negara.
Sekian… mudah-mudahan Tun berdua dipanjangkan usia dan sihat.

  29. dali Jun 24,2008 4:35 AM

    Salam TUN
Its good for all of us to be hearing from you again, syabas.
Present scenario is just a hiccup to them from what we observed. But another strong message already delivered.
By counter offering and then penalise for wrong doings….? Well..well..thats not nice anymore.
What we can see publicly is that the solutions taken was not a smart move politically. This will cause a grave damage in the future. Its true, and only a true leader could foresee whats is coming.
Surprisingly, none of the BN or UMno member offers to negotiate accordingly to solve the matter. The chorus lines even acted like a hungry-for-blood thugs knowing that SAPP is part of BN still.
What are we (the non-partisans and the people) expecting now from the present govt since ,SAPP, member of their big family (BN) already been ignored?

Dia bertanya lagi: “ Aku mahu menjadi orang paling kaya.”
Dia bertanya: “Aku mahu menjadi orang paling baik.”
Dia bertanya: “Aku mahu dihapuskan segala dosaku.” Baginda menjawab: “Banyakkan beristighfar.” Dia berkata: Bagaimana pula aku mahu menjadi semulia-mulia manusia.” Lalu baginda menjawab: “Jangan mengesyaki sesuatu perkara pada orang lain.”
Dia bertanya Rasulullah: “Aku mahu menjadi segagah-gagah manusia.”
Baginda menjawab: “Jauhilah makanan haram.” Dia bertanya: “Aku mahu Allah menutup segala keaibanku pada hari kiamat.” Baginda pun menjawab: “Tutuplah keburukan orang lain.”

  34. pakbelalang Jun 24,2008 2:12 AM

    Dear Tun,
Bernama reported that the morale of Johor Umno members remains strong, despite the challenges faced by the party in the current political climate.
This was evident from a two-hour dialogue session held between the party’s top leadership and an estimated 450 members from Johor Umno at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday evening.
State Umno liason chief Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman was present at the session which was chaired by Umno president and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
Also present was Abdullah’s deputy, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
Those who attended the session came from the branches of 13 out of the 26 divisions in Johor Umno.
    Comment:
Is this what we can classify as THE CHORUS LINE DIALOGUE !! What can we deduce from such dialogue? Surely desperately to get symphathy from naive and gullible grassroot members from Johore UMNO branches by telling them I AM ALREADY “ITEK TEMPANG”, please help me !!

Amin.

    Dear Tun,
First time in the political history of Malaysia where a call for a vote of no confidence against the Prime Minister being proposed by one of BN component parties. What a shame! HARI INI DALAM SEJARAH !! Even though it did not materialise but the dent on Pak Lah’s credibility is good enough to show that his standing is now down the drain. The vote of no confidence is just a SYMBOLIC but means a lot to the rakyat.Still Pak Lah is a dreamer !!!

    Salam Tun,
In late, Musa Hitam actively involves in a lot of functions which related to Malaysian government. What is the rational behind that or perhaps, Tun can story sikit on his background & what he upto ?
    Wassalam

  40. Riq Jun 24,2008 12:50 AM

    Dear Tun,
I share the same thought as you, DAAB must resign and be responsible for the situation that UMNO and BN is facing now. However, in tradition, should DAAB resigns, Datuk Najib will be the one to replace him.
I do believe that Datuk Najib is a brilliant and intelligent man, but his image has been tarnished by rumours. The latest, is the Altunya case. And sad to say that, Malaysians love to believe rumors rather than looking for facts and data.
In other words, maybe Datuk Najib has the potential and intelligence to take out UMNO and BN from this mess. But, I’m just afraid he will be drowned by rumours.
I do believed that UMNO enemies are still keeping their cards for Datuk Najib.
    Your thoughts,Tun.
    Thanks
    Riq

  41. cmc Jun 24,2008 12:48 AM

    dear tun,
you won hands down as the greatest leader of a country, I admired you most. However, being human, you make the greatest mistake in choosing your successor.

  42. sujini Jun 24,2008 12:41 AM

    Salam Dr Mahathir,
Maybe you already know this. Trying to make ends meet, govt.servants
have now resorted to selling food, etc. during lunch time.
If you happen to visit the govt.offices in Putrajaya around the said
time you might find them putting up tables at the building premises.
I have yet to go there and see this for myself.
Will this phenomena affect their performances in the office?
After the behind closed door briefing with BN MPs on 22nd June,
PM said that temporary licence for small businesses (or something
to that sort) will be given out to help the people to cope with the
    current economic problem.
Before this the govt. has also started issuing new licences for Taxis.
Now, my question is, how many of these licences were given to
deserved applicants and if they do get, how many of them?
As per your posting, if the BN chorus group is still singing the same
line with the lead vocalist, then I think Malaysia’s bank account will
be in the red. May Allah forbids.
    Wassalam.

Bersama-sama kita mendoakan agar Tun dan Isteri tercinta sentiasa sihat dan selamat hendakNya.
APA CARA NAK BUAT PAK LAH NGOK NI BERAMBOS YEK???

  44. pakbelalang Jun 24,2008 12:36 AM

    Dear Tun,
Saya rasa Pak Lah ni memang tak sedar diri. Apa dia tunggu lagi. Dia dah jadi ITEK TEMPANG.

rakyat memang dah benci kat pak lah ngok tu.
bukan kata pak lah ngok tu je tapi seluruh kaum kerabat dan keroni-keroni syaitan yang bermaharajalela sekarang ni perlu dihapuskan.
MINTAK AHLI UMNO BERSAMA-SAMA TURUNKAN PAK LAH SEKARANG.

Parti lain yg menjadi ‘BN’ – MIC, MCA, UMNO-SABAH (for Sabah) , PBB (leader party of Sarawak) juga jangan diabaikan turut mempengaruhi kejatuhan kedudukan BN dimata rakyat.
Kami pun hairan, negeri pengeluar minyak macam kami ‘miskin dibumi’ sendiri. Apatah lagi harga petrol & diesel dinaikkan, apa perasaan kami sekarang?
Bukan ‘Musang berbulu ayam’.

  51. LKCYC Jun 23,2008 11:19 PM

What bothers me most is that the present cabinet members are not steadfast in the decisions they make.Don’t they first discuss things thoroughly with their respective ministry officials and then bring it to the cabinet for a final decision before announcement is made?
Or, are we to believe that they just don’t have enough grey materials up in their heads to think things through rightly?
If we are not convinced, how do we expect foreign investors to believe what they read as government decisions?
Things cannot go on like this. The more they do, the messier it becomes.
    GOD saves Malaysia!

  52. pakbelalang Jun 23,2008 11:18 PM

    Dear Tun,
Please allow me to divert from the topic.I just want to highlight how fickle minded Pak Lah is which proves to reflect his flip flop decision making process.
When you have already announced to the public that your salary is going to be double and later retract it , I think this is unethical.
How can Pak Lah retract the annoncement already made by Azman Mokhtar to confrm the double increase in salary of TNB CEO . No matter how bad the decision is you must keep to the promise because you are demoralizing the CEO and embarrassing him.
I may be against the double increase but in this case of pulling back what has been decided is morally wrong especially when it involves very personal thing like salary.
When he can do that I don’t see why he can’t withdraw the payment of ex-gratia to the ex-judges which in my opinion they don’t deserve it at all. It is unethical and immoral when they had been found guilty by the Tribunal set up by the Agong. The government’s action was not right because it affects the dignity of the Agong for not respecting the Tribunal’s judgment against the ex-judges.

The story behind why abdullah give the petrol rebate to rakyat thru Pos malaysia. I believe a lot of people did not know that Pos malaysia is actually belong to ECM libra. (ECM Libra belong to Khairi kamaruddin). Lets imagine every single RM625 that rebated to Rakyat, our government has to pay 1% comission to Pos Malaysia. Can all of us count how much pos malaysia/ecm libra will make thru this rebate exercise? Again the rakyat money will go into PM family’s pocket..
Tun, can you pls comment on this?

Clearly ABI of PJ is one of Pak Lah & Co symphatiser. Maybe he is even related to them too.
For ABI info, Tun is not just Malaysia’s fourth Prime Minister but he is also a world class leader and the champion of the third world. Tun is responsible in making Malaysia what it is today. We the rakyat should be thankful to have a leader like him.
The least you can do is show some respect when adressing Tun. Who do you think you are to advice Tun on what he should do? Or are you in the habit of telling your parents off? If that’s the case, then no wonder.

  61. sktan Jun 23,2008 10:29 PM

Dearest Tun: We Believe in You.
Whatever you do, you did best for our multiracial, oil rich, and that of the betterment for the country.
During your tenure, you handled, let alone oil increase but what so ever, excellently that the rakyat don’t feel so much of the impact of harships.
He says:” I’m sure he’ll deny it.” So am I wrong to say that He is a very corrupted man, talking nonsense upon receiving large amount of exgratia payments from the pocket of poor rakyat, hard earned, blood money and given by incompentent decisions and management. I am sure he’ll deny it.
Another quote ‘ Good at killing 2 birds with one stone’. What about this instance. Somebody is killing 3 birds (i.e. Money, Revenge, and his trustworthiness, towards this present messy state of leaders.
Ayahanda Tun, You looked a little annoyed while refering to this matter on tv. Please don’t, we fully understand their so called ‘dirty tactics’. Please, please, by all means, stay healthy and strong. Lastly, may God bless You and your beautiful family.

    salam,
2- Mungkin Paklah & co dan semua sekutu2 menterinya sekarang pun suka sgt ngan rancangan realiti, maka kita dpt tgk sekarang makin banyak la terhasilnya undang-undang mee segera.

Tun telah menghambakan diri menjadi ahli politik seawal tahun 1945-an lagi.
1981 Tun dilantik menjadi Perdana Menteri Malaysia.

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, please proceed. I sense that a few are seeing what a noble one you are doing. This few are continuously increasing in number.
As for Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, having advantages over the Chorus Line, and more, he may think this is a winning one, perhaps a sweet personal victory.
I can see, that the no confidence vote against Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, has now expanded to include leaders in UMNO and Barisan Nasional.
The Malaysian 13th General Election is a long wait, but the move can stay hot and the heat escalating can be translated on that date.
From now on, we shall proceed…

Salam Tun and welcome back online
Please don’t be too disenchanted. There are ordinary members of UMNO like me still left behind for one final push to remove this nice but incompetent President of UMNO. Although I don’t agree with what Yong Teck Lee did as this is an UMNO affair, I must say I agree with him on fatigue starting to set in on this fight. For me, I am saving my energy for the fight to come after the cawangan elections.
In any event we should by then, be able to figure out who has been bought off and who hasn’t. We will move before the divisional elections as by then we will know who the delegates at division level are. Then we will strike with all the intensity and fury we can muster as if our lives depended on it. We don’t want the legacies that our forefathers left us to be destroyed by the silly few.
We only need to know who our presidential candidate will be! Frankly Tun, if you were still in UMNO many of us would nominate you. I only ask that if we succeed in this mother of all battles, you will return to UMNO. If we lose, I am joining you.
Best wishes and good health to you and your family.
    Wassalam

Weak administrations need a strong chorus to boost sagging morale. Members of the chorus could be line up and trained to participate in choral speaking competition. If done this team most certainly will become champions.

Your blog is a must visit blog for me.I look forward to the information that you provide in your articles.
I also attended most of your forums, the last was in PJ. I missed the one in Ipoh Perak 2 days ago though. Everyone in my family support your perjuangan.
I still remember, our house used to be the meeting place for Umno because there was no dewan available back then. The perjuangan of UMNO members back then was genuine i.e for Ugama, Bangsa and Negara. Now is a different story. Most join UMNO for power and projects. That is why most of them kowtow to the President.Until and unless UMNO members revert to the old perjuangan, UMNO will become irrelevant. It is really scary.

Salam Yg Bhg Tun and all,
Actually this AAB and his government issues cum current political on-goings has reached me at stagnant level now. I am sure soon it will turned into very extreme stench.
I am utterly sick of reading about him and his back-up singers(especially the three BIG hantus) praising every dumb moves he make.
No wonder during his tenure almost all his generals can come out with lame and stupid statement on every issues concerning the rakyat.
This is true “leadership by example”.
I am sure you yourself Tun, and others are feeling the same way i do, but there is nothing much we can do except to post our comments, and Tun keep on attacking his weak leadership. But for how long more must we wait and see? Two terms is too long and this guy isn’t going to move from where you have PUT him.
It is not a joke to play the waiting game to see next GE and its outcome. It is going to be disastrous. Are we going to allow this person and his gang to put our nation, our belief and the rakyat into the hell hole?
    This is our country.
    The rakyat’s country.
    Not UMNO’s country.
    Not AAB and family country.
    Not Najib and Rosmah country.
Not no one person or a family but ours, the mere rakyat with no political interest and just wanting to live life as comfortable as it has been in this sovereign country.
And everytime after prayers i fret to think of my next generation future and the future of this country.
I am waiting for you to push that final button Tun and we will do what needed to be done.

    Tun….
AP) Former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad on Saturday slammed the government’s move to allow U.S. energy company Halliburton Co. to begin operating in Malaysia, saying the country doesn’t need “blood money.”
“It is appalling that we have allowed this war-profiteering company to invest in Malaysia,” he said in a statement, referring to Halliburton’s contracts in Iraq for the U.S. government. “Are we so void of our humanity that we have to allow these war criminals to come in and thrive in our economy?”
Mahathir, who remains a respected figure in the Islamic world after his retirement in 2003 after 22 years in power, urged the government to ban Halliburton from using their “ill-gotten profits to operate in any way” in Malaysia.
Halliburton recently launched a 200 million ringgit ($62.5 million) manufacturing center in the Iskandar Malaysia economic hub in southern Johor state.
Mahathir, a vocal critic of the 2003 U.S.-led invasion of Iraq, accused Halliburton, once led by U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney, of raking in billions of dollars in profits from the Iraq war.
Do we really need the blood money of a neo-conservative entity that has played a role in the murder of innocent Iraqis to fund our development?
Mahathir Mohamad. former prime minister of MalaysiaHalliburton’s stock price surged from $10 before the war to around $46 now after the company won a series of contracts in Iraq amounting to nearly $20 billion, he said.

    Akum Tun,
This flip-flop Govt has done nothing to increase the Purchasing Power of the rakyat nor they r analyze how to manage n control with all the prices increased. Things r simple to implement if the really care about the rakyat. They r not doing anything… coz they r doing everything to stay in power n thicken their pockets.
Ucapan Pak Lah ketika naik harga minyak, lepas tu beberapa hari selepas ucapan tu dia membuat kenyataan kos jambatan meningkat 100% kerana harga minyak meningkat. Siapa tak pening dgn sihamlau nie.
Dua hari lepas tu umumkan projek pengangkutan awan seperti LRT, MONORAIL untuk kemudahan rakyat di KL n Selangor …kosnya 5 billion…harganya sepatutnya 30 to 40% less from the cost porject. Saya yakin tu project Scomi…
Pak Lah oh Pak Lah bila aka tak leh tidur aku dgn ucapan hang….tentu aku lena sampai subuh.

Hidup Tun! Hidup Tun! Hidup Tun!

    TDM
once again you make out PM Pak Lah to be a master tactician – and you know what, he is. There is no issue in him getting the party to support him unconditionally. Under your leadership, you would not have had otherwise. So, I don’t see what you’ve got to gain with this posting other than to state the obvious, that SAPP did not have much muscle. In fact, Yong Teck Lee has played into Anwars’s hands and Anwar had you to thank for giving him the opportunity to cast Pak Lah as a “villain”. Sir, you are the Villian. Anwar is the Villian. Yong Teck Lee is the Joker and between the 3 of you, you could cast in the next Batman sequel.
Pak Lah will wait for his time and then share with the larger Malaysian community that you’re no angel. I just hope for your sake you would have the sense of stopping this silly game you’ve invented of running down your hand-picked successor. If he doesn’t want to listen to you OR take your advise – then take a hint. He is the boss now. It’s his agenda. Not yours. Stop being sour grapes!

    Dearest Tun, Salamun alaikum,
Like an addict I kept on clicking for your blog. Frustrated, clicked on to others when I saw nothing new. You can’t be sick. (I’ll keep praying for our good health.) Then I guess what I had feared must have happened. It (ur blog) had BEEN DONE TO! You are kicking too many balls, if they have any. They will stop at nothing to SHUT you up.
    Dear Bloggers,
Remember how the feelings of the disenchanted people voiced thru writings succeeded in securing our independence from the British? They managed to fuel the spirits of the rakyats. And our forefathers reacted! So keep the spirit going…
We have all the intellectuals we need, the think tanks, the political observers who can contribute towards Malaysia’s ‘independence’ from the present regime. But my question is who will be the right successor? It is obvious that Tun did not make the correct choice in electing his.
    Causes of disenchantment.
Thanks for this comment which I cut and paste from another blog, in case some of you missed it.
Looking at the list below, it looks like the BN government are more determined to help themselves rather than the citizens.
And this list below is not even barely exhaustive as these are the ones uncovered – the tip of the ice-berg, if you might want to put it! What lies beneath could be much larger:
    1. The Bank Bumiputra twin scandals in the early 1980s saw US$1 billion (RM3.2 billion in 2008 ringgit)
    2. The Maminco attempt to corner the world tin market in the 1980s is believed to have cost some US$500 million. (RM1.6 billion)
    3. Betting in foreign exchange futures cost Bank Negara Malaysia RM30 billion in the 1990s.
    4. Perwaja Steel resulted in losses of US$800 million (RM2.56 billion). Eric Chia, was charged with corruption for allegedly steering US$20 million (RM64 million) to a Hong Kong-based company
    5. Use of RM10 billion public funds in the Valuecap Sdn. Bhd. operation to shore up the stock market
    6. Banking scandal of RM700 million losses in Bank Islam.
    7. The sale of M.V. Agusta by Proton for one Euro making a loss of €75.99 million (RM 348 million)
    8. Wang Ehsan from oil royalty on Terengganu RM7.4 billion from 2004 – 2007
    9. For the past 10 years since Philharmonic Orchestra was established, this orchestra has swallowed a total of RM500 million
    10. In Advisors Fees, Mahathir was paid RM180,000, Shahrizat Abdul Jalil (women and social development affairs) RM404,726 and Abdul Hamid Othman (religious) RM549,675 per annum
    11. The government has spent a total of RM3.2 billion in teaching Maths and Science in English over the past five years. Out of the amount, the government paid a whopping RM2.21 billion for the purchase of information and computer technology (ICT) equipments which it is unable to give a breakdown.
    12. The commission paid for purchase of jets and submarines to two private companies Perimeker Sdn Bhd and IMT Defence Sdn Bhd amounted to RM910 million.
    13. RM300 million to compensate Gerbang Perdana for the RM1.1 billion “Crooked Scenic Half-Bridge”
    14. RM1.3 billion have been wasted building the white elephant Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) facilities on cancellation of the Malaysia-Singapore scenic bridge
    15. RM 100 million on renovation of Parliament building and leaks
    16. National Astronaut Programme – RM 40 million
    17. National Service Training Programme – yearly an estimate of RM 500 million
    18. Eye on Malaysia – RM 30 million and another RM5.7 million of free ticket
    19. RM 4.63 billion, ’soft-loan’ to PKFZ
    20. RM 2.4 million on indelible ink
    21. Samy announced in September 2006 that the government paid compensation amounting to RM 38.5 billion to 20 highway companies. RM 380 million windfalls for 9 toll concessionaires earned solely from the toll hike in 2008 alone.
    22. RM32 million timber export kickbacks involving companies connected to Sarawak Chief Minister and his family
    Bailouts –
    23. Two bailouts of Malaysia Airline System RM7.9 billion. At a time when MAS incurring losses every year, RM1.55 million used to buy three paintings to decorate its chairman’s (Munir) office. 24. Putra transport system bailout which cost RM4.486 billion
    25. STAR-LRT bailout costing RM3.256 billion
    26. National Sewerage System bailout costing RM192.54 million
    27. Seremban-Port Dickson Highway bailout costing RM142 million
    28. Kuching Prison bailout costing RM135 million
    29. Kajian Makanan dan Gunaan Orang Islam bailout costing RM8.3 million
    30. Le Tour de Langkawi bailout costing RM 3.5 Million
    31. Wholesale distribution of tens of millions of shares in Bursa Malaysia under guise of NEP to cronies, children and relatives of BN leaders and Ministers worth billions of ringgits.
    32. APs scandal had been going on year-after-year going back for more than three decades, involving a total mind-boggling sum of tens of billions of ringgits
    33. Alienation of tens of thousands of hectares of commercial lands and forestry concessions to children and relatives of BN leaders and Ministers worth tens of billions of ringgits
    34. Travel around Malaysia and see for yourself how many white elephants like majestic arches, roads paved with fanciful bricks, designer lamp posts, clock towers, Municipal Council buildings that looks more like Istanas, extravagant places of worship, refurbishment of residences of VIPs, abandoned or under-utilised government sports complexes and buildings, etc! Combined they could easily amount to the hundreds of billions of ringgits!
    35. Since 1997, Petronas has handed out a staggering 30 billion ringgit in natural gas subsidies to IPPs who were making huge profits. In addition, there were much wastages and forward trading of Petronas oil in the 1990s based on the low price of oil then. Since the accounts of Petronas are for the eyes of Prime Minister only, we have absolutely no idea of the amount.
Whatever amount, you bet it is COLLOSSAL! In Time Asia magazine issue on March 15 2004, South East Asian economist at Morgan Stanley in Singapore Daniel Lian, figures “that the country may have lost as much as U$$100 billion (RM320 billion) since the early 1980s to corruption.” Mind you, this is only corruption and it does not include wastages and mismanagements which could be higher!
If the above list (which represent moneys saved) is added to the nation’s coffer and together with Petronas profits, palm oil profits and profits from rubber, tin, agriculture produce, aquaculture produce, electronic and hardware exports, etc, for the past 5 decades, we can all agree on one thing – our country could be wealthier than Venezuela who has little resources except for oil. The petrol in Venezuela is RM0.16 per litre!

    Salam Tun,
Saya sokong komen En Ziman. Sekarang RM2000, rasanya dah macam RM200. Ayah saya dulu hanya seorang buruh di Jabatan Kerajaan, semasa tahun 70an gajinya RM350 saja. Tapi tak pernah sama sekali dihidangkan ubi rebus kepada kami 4 beradik. Malahan dapat membesarkan kami hingga tamat pengajian.

    Salam hormat YABhg Tun,

  90. lahgurkha Jun 23,2008 6:17 PM

Saya setuju apa yang TUN cakap tu ramai orang pun dok pikiaq macam tu juga. Komen blogger Amar Makruf pasai kepimpinan PAK LAH memang betoi pun, Macam TUN kata dulu la kalau dok lagu tu juga PRU 13 berkuburlah BN, ni yang sedih niii.

  91. Halem Hamed Jun 23,2008 5:39 PM

    Yang Berbahagia Tun,
Tahniah kepada Tun kerana rintangan demi rintangan
di atasi sehinggakan lapuran ‘spam blog’ pun sanggup
di buat oleh golongan yg anti-chedet.
Tulisan Tun pun nampak lengok lain sikit,
mungkin Tun dah ada pembantu . 🙂
Kerajaan pimpinan Dato Seri Abdullah di anggap
“Flip Flop Regime” kerana perkara-perkara berikut :-
    1. Double track.
    Pak Lah bermain buah dadu?
    2. Gerbang Perdana.
Pak Lah bermain dengan ketuanan dan kedaulatan
    Kerajaan Negeri Johor.
    Gerbang Perdana, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas,
    Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan, Double Track Utara-Selatan
    berjalan lancar.
Soalan nya, adakah Pak lah tidak mengetahui
    strategi-strategi Tun sebelum ini?
    3. Jambatan Pulau Pinang ke dua.
Pak Lah ingat Guan Eng akan buat hal selepas PRU
yang lalu mengenai Penang 2nd Bridge,
tetapi Guan Eng tak buat kacau pun.
Jadi terpaksalah Pak Lah mencari alasan supaya
    Jambatan Pulau Pinang di batalkan.
Besi naik laa, simen naik laa, macam-macam lagi naik.
Projek-projek lain yang mengalami kenaikan dan
    perkara serupa macam mana?
    4. Proton Holding.
    atas nama “globalisation and synergy”.
    5. Setesn Minyak di sempadan Johor dan Thailand,
pun sekejap boleh, sekejap tak boleh.
Pak Lah terkejut maki hamun Makcik stesen minyak
di sempadan Kelantan, lalu dia tukar haluan.
    6. Gaji dua kali sebulan, sekejap on sekejap off.
    Menyusahkan hidup semua orang.
    7. Kakitangan kerajaan berniaga.
    Sekarang boleh.
Satu masa nanti seluruh Putrajaya mula berniaga dan
kesemua kakitangan akan buka mini gerai-gerai atas meja,
berniaga kacang, kain, jam.
Alasan nya nanti kakitangan kerajaan cuai, alpa, tak
    bertanggungjawap.
Jadi salah orang juga, bukan keputusan
    Kerajaan/Pak Lah yang salah.
    Bertahun-tahun Kerajaan terdahulu mengambil masa
supaya menanam semangat pentingkan kerja sebagai
    Kakitangan kerajaan.
    segala-gala nya.
    Budaya berniaga akan menebal kembali,
sesiapa yang akan jadi PM selepas
ini akan menjadi rumit untuk merubahnya kembali.
Saya berpandangan bahawa Pak Lah ingin melenyapkan perkara-perkara
yang telah di bina oleh Tun. Pak Lah pernah menyuarakan bahawa,
Soalan nya, apakah salahnya meneruskan segala rancangan terdahulu.?
    1. Bapa Penjahanam Malaysia, atau
    2. Bapa Peroboh Malaysia, atau
    3. Bapa Flip Flop Malaysia

    Salam sejahtera TUN,
Semoga kesihatan TUN dijaga baik agar suara rakyat akan terus kedengaran. Teruskan perjuangan yang dimulakan, semoga kemenangan dikecapi secepat mungkin.
TUN, recent issues raised tension amongst rakyat. Dulu era TUN, project naik, bangunan naik, kemajuan naik. Now, apa yang naik. TUN, saya berasal dari pendalaman Sarawak which is connected only by air. Kita dah undi pembangkang tapi itupun tak menjadi. Harapkan DS Samy, janji yang dibuatnya dari era TUN dulu masih belum tertunai sampai sekarang. Previously (sebelum NAIK), 1 can of coca-cola cost us RM3-5, just imagine what it would cost us now.
As a man with vision, what is your suggestion to curb this near inflations? would it be another crisis where thousands if not millions will default their loans, credit cards or being sued by the banks and chased by the loanshark??? To me, this is where those in power should look into.
    Regards

Ass’mkm Pak Mahat.(You are affectionately known as Pak Mahat to my family and I. We call you that ‘cos we love and respect you as a father)
I would like very much to appear before you, to thank and congratulate for what a splendid jobs you had done in putting Malaysia in the eye of the world. However, I think it suffice that I have this opportunity to e-communicate with you.
Though I am a Singaporean, I very much admire your work and the progress you brought for Malaysia. I was very sad when you handed over your premiership to that incompetent person (hereinafter refered to as “IP”). I was very unhappy when that IP cancelled most of your mega projects.
My only pray now is that Allah will shower you with pink of health so that you could continue to guide the Malaysian to have a clean, efficient and effective government.
Tun, I hope you would be able to enlighten me and perhaps many others on certian doubts we have.
First, the crooked bridge in Johore. The IP’s government cited that it was due to some legal aspects that the construction of the bridge was ceased. I have read your comments on the ‘punishment’ the IP imposed on Johorean for not wanting to give way to him with regards to issues of sand and airspace. I appreciate it very much if you could elaborate more with regard to the legal aspect which I am very sure you must have, somehow during your premiership, anticipated such problems or perhaps tackled the issue.
Frankly, I felt suspicious about the IP’s decision to abolish the construction of the bridge when not to long after that he announced the construction of the 2nd Penang bridge. Could it be that the IP is shifting funds for the bridge in Johore to Penang.
Secondly, the Iskandar Malaysia (“IM”). I personally feel that the project will not benefit the Malaysian, in particular, the Johoreans Malays that much. I also have a wild thought that IM project is more like selling Malaysia to other country especially when there was, at one time, talk about allowing people from other country without a passport.
I concur strongly your perception that strong economic power could control the world. Let us just narrow it down to the state of Johore. I opine that many of those who would benefit from the IM project would be foreigners. If this really happens, the Malays with weak or perhaps no economic power may be at disadvantage. I shudder to think what will happen to them eventually. Perhaps Sir, you may wish to highlight your opinion on this matter so that the IP government and people of Malaysia may think on the measures they could adopt to ensure that the Malays will not be weakened before the word MALAY_sia will be insignificant one day.
I hope to be able to write more next time. Kinda bz right now. I look forward to hear from you Sir.

Salam hormat kepada Yg. Bhg. Tun dan isteri.
Buat pertama kalinya saya tulis komen di blog ‘Che det’.

Kini saya adalah penyokong Tun. Setelah saya mengetahui mengapa DSAI patut dihalang. Tun memang bijak!

    Dear Tun Dr. M,
I want you to know that you have been my role model that has inspired throughout my life as long as I can remember. My father adores you so much that no one can say bad thing about you and this is what I feel too. Can you believe that young kids on the block are still talking about you even though you have stepped down and whether you believe it or not, they compares you and Pak Lah! I’m not kidding….Some how or rather, whatever people say about you, there is nothing that change my mind about your leadership. Sad to say, there is no one in the country that will be able to be better or equally as good as you. You’re the extraordinary leader and will be forever extraordinary! Sad to see where this country is heading to…without you!

    Salam Tun,
    to Reshmin Raj.

  103. joehenry Jun 23,2008 4:28 PM

Tun, I am just wondering whether there is anyway anyone can knock some sense into the PM and let him know the urgency of the situation so that public disgust over his management of the country can be arrested so that our country will not lose out in terms of competitiveness as compared to the neighbouring countries. I really cannot understand how it could happen that all the cabinet members together with all BN leaders could all sing to his tune wihout any remorse or sense of urgency or the realisation that if they continue to do so, their action may very likely precipitate both economic and social vulnarability of Malaysia.

  104. mariapun Jun 23,2008 4:28 PM

    Dear Mr Abi,
During 1999, though TDM lost some majority, but he still managed to get 2/3 majority to form the government. Futhermore, he still can retained Kedah from falling to opposition. Some part of Kedah are PAS area.
What happened to lah wi during PRU12? Have you forgotten or you are just blind to see? Lah wi from Penang, even the people from Penang are prefer to give the opposition to lead the state. Can’t you see that?
Perhaps Tun managed to get the support from non-Malays, but lah wi failed to get the support from malays as well as non-malays.
Tun is the greatest leader in the world. He’s genius, no doubt bout that.
This is Tun Mahathir territory, hope there is no more negative comments on TDM.
I’m sure there’s a lot of people still wanting TDM to become our leader. A lot of people still giv a strong support to TDM. Only a bunch of loser that will support lah wi such as Abi, Antimamak and Co. Please don’t disturb this web with such negative comments.

    YABhg Tun,
Your comments quoted here are referred:
‘There will be no rewards for the Chorus Line and the other sycophants, including Dato Seri Najib when the BN loses to the opposition coalition.
Is this scenario likely? Well, did Abdullah and Co. think the 2008 losses were likely before they decided to hold the elections?
The few sensible UMNO leaders left should think about this. If you join the people who are obviously destroying UMNO, you will be cursed by future generations for your betrayal of their heritage.’
Tun still insisted that AAB must step down in order to restore people’s confidence on UMNO. If AAB really has to step down, then who in Tun’s mind will be the best qualified man to take over AAB as Presiden UMNO and the Prime Minister?
Is Dato Seri Najib still a good choice now? What about Tengku Razaleigh (Ku Li)? Is Ku Li shortlisted by Tun?
What will Tun say about the best replacement of AAB? Please comment!

Ok bloggers, since ‘Tun Jebat’ brought up this matter … here goes..
    Cops to probe RPK’s claims
    By LOURDES CHARLES
KUALA LUMPUR: Police will be calling up Malaysia Today editor Raja
Petra Kamaruddin to investigate allegations in his recent statutory
declaration on purported facts related to the murder of Altantuya
    Shaariibuu.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan said the three
individuals named in the document filed on June 18 would also be
    called up.
In the declaration, Raja Petra claimed that the trio – one of them a
prominent woman – were present at the scene during the murder of the
    Mongolian translator in October 2006.
Copies of the two-paged declaration together with the identity of the
trio have been posted on various blog sites.
In the document, Raja Petra said he was “reliably informed” of these
    allegations.
Musa said the matter could be sub judice as the Altantuya murder case
    was still being heard.
He also said Raja Petra must be “brave enough to face the consequences
if he is bold enough” to make the allegations.
Meanwhile, the Attorney-General’s Chambers has lodged a police report
against Raja Petra over the statutory declaration.
Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail said the allegations were
“highly defamatory” and if found untrue, those making the allegations
would have to face the consequences.
“We want to investigate because we want the truth. As far as I am
concerned, we have to look at it seriously.”
“If it’s true, we will act accordingly. If not, the writer will be
investigated,” he said, adding that the report was lodged in Putrajaya
    on Saturday.
Raja Petra said he expected to be called up.
He said he was bold enough to face the consequences.
    STATUTORY DECLARATION
I, RAJA PETRA BIN RAJA KAMARUDIN (IC No: 500927-71-5257), a Malaysian
citizen of legal age residing at No. 5, Jalan BRP 5/5, BuKit Rahman
Putra, 47000 Sungai Buloh, Selangor Darul Ehsan, do solemnly and
sincerely affirm and say as follows:-
    1. I have been reliably informed that between about 10 p.m. on 19th
October 2006 and early hours of the following day, the night Altantuya
Shaariibuu was murdered, three (3) other people were also present at
    the scene of the crime;
    (a) Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, wife of the Deputy Prime Minister of
Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak
    (b) Acting Colonel Aziz Buyong (then Lt. Col.) a C4 expert
    (c) Acting Colonel Aziz’s wife, Norhayati (one of Rosmah’s ADC)
    2. My informer states that Acting Colonel Aziz Buyong was the
person who placed the C4 on various parts of Altantuya’s body while
being witnessed by Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and Norhayati.
    3. I make this Statutory Declaration because I have been reliably
informed about the involvement of these three people who have thus far
not been implicated in the murder nor called as witnesses by the
prosecution in the on going trial at the Shah Alam High Court. I also
make this Statutory Declaration because I am aware that it is a crime
not to reveal evidence that may help the police in its investigation
    of the crime.
    4. I have further been reliably informed that Prime Minister, Dato
Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has received a written report from the
Military Intelligence confirming what I have revealed above and that
the report was subsequently handed over to his son-in-law, Khairy
    Jamaluddin, for safe-keeping.
    5. I have also been reliably informed that one of the Rulers has
been briefed about this matter and His Highness is fully aware of what
    I have revealed above.
    6. I have knowledge of who has informed me of this matter plus I
have knowledge of the Ruler who has been briefed and is aware of the
matter but I have agreed that I shall not reveal this information
other than mention that the Prime Minister and his son-in-law have
been handed a written report confirming what I have revealed.
    7. The purpose of this Statutory Declaration is to urge all these
parties who have been duly informed and have knowledge of this matter
to come forward to reveal the truth so that the police are able to
conduct a proper and thorough investigation into the murder of
    Altantuya Shaariibuu.
And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same
to be true and by virtue of the provisions of the Statutory
    Declaration Act, 1960.

    Tun,
Why the ACA suddently wanted to investigate Dato Yong Teck Lee? Is it somebody who is high up in the position instructed them to do so or just merely a “Co-incident” which is cliamed by pihak BPR.

    Salam Tun,
Cara kotor kroni Pak Lah la ni nak black mail Najib…supaya jadi pak turut… Insaflah wahai orang yang bernama Abdullah!!!!

  118. Ulu Kalumpang Jun 23,2008 3:22 PM

    Salam Tun,
In line with what Datuk Yong Teck Lee said people in Sabah is always been left out or behind, this is a good example that I need to share with you.
I went back to my hometown Tawau, Sabah recently. Not that I want to grouse about the RM560+ million Kota Kinabalu-Tawau Highway (so called “Sabah’s North-South Highway”) or illegal immigrant issues, but it is about people in Sabah is left behind from basic information/news.
Since your blog has both BM and English, can we also have your writings, thoughts and opinions in Mandarin? The elderly and people like my parents are not able to read your blog because most of them only know how to converse and read in Mandarin. Over here in Peninsular, most elderly people is capable of communicating well in BM and English but this is not the case in Sabah and even Sarawak. The situation becomes worst if the access to the information is limited due to controlled media or lack of Internet access. As of now, they are depending on us, who know a bit of Internet, to tell them about your excellent blog. When I shared the info in your blog to them recently, they asked me for more and to print a Mandarin copy for them.
Taking this opportunity, I hope Tun could generate a Mandarin version in your blog and I believe many Malaysian Chinese will be thankful and benefited from this move. If you had left out Sabahan in the past, please don’t let them behind this time!
    Thank you for considering.

Semoga Tun sihat dan dirahmati Allah selalu… kepada semua rakyat malaysia marilah kita bersatu menyokong Tun menjatuhkan Pak Lah. Hidup Tun… demi agama, bangsa dan negara.

  120. ABI Jun 23,2008 3:17 PM

The Chorus line was larger while Tun M was at the helm of national affairs, especially during the 1999 general election when the majority of Malays dumped him and he could only form the government with the support of the non-Malay voters. Such was his dismal performance! He himself acknowledged then without non-Malay support he would have lost political power. Why is that Tun M does not want to rememebe4r all this? With his abysmal and disastrous performance at the polls then, his Ministers, UMNO stalwarts, MPs, MBs, et al then sang a long and beautiful chorus of praises for him. So, why talk about the chorus line when Pak Lak gets the support for his well-deserved victory at the polls? Double standard? Ethics has gone to the drain?
    Abi

  121. Mohd Naim Jun 23,2008 3:17 PM

    Yg. Bhg. Tun,
I hope there were no invisible hands which disrupted your blog and that it was just administrative reasons that caused it.
I agree that DSAAB and his choir boys and girls could never made it with so many so out of tune numbers. They knew it but for the sake of the conductor, continue to irritate the audience. Well, their days are surely numbered. Do get rid of them once the force is with you.

  122. Reshmin Raj Jun 23,2008 3:09 PM

    Tun,
It seems that greed is the reason why all politicians refuse to serve for the people and country. They R always interest to safeguard their position and personal interest. By right popular vote should decide who shall lead the country and not by winning many parliament seats.
I strongly believe U also played a major role in championing racial sentiments during your tenure as PM. I belong to a generation that had the opportunity to mingle around with all races without any barrier during our early age. All that changed when time came for me to apply for a place in public university, many of my friends who were Muslim got whatever course they applied even though their results were far below mine. I only got a lousy certificate course in polytechnic. I also came from a poor family, my parents were born Malaysian, my father served the country in civil service and my parents voted for BN all the way until this election when I manage to convinced my mum to vote for oppositions. Been a Malaysian born to Malaysian born parents and coming from a poor family background and having the same origin roots as you, why we were treated differently when it come to opportunities. Tun, U R the cause of all this, U changed forever the racial harmony which is missing now. The agony of missing out the opportunity to further my studies hurts me until now after more than 20 years. All this happen during your time as prime minister. U divided and ruled the country in order to achieve your political agenda.
Tun, we lost our father when I was only 9 years old and my mother has to work as cleaner to support us 4 siblings. With what she earns and from the government pension that she receive been a widow of ex- government servants did not allowed us to enjoy any luxury in life.
No any government servants or politician were willing to help my mother to achieve her dream of sending her children to university. But we manage to fulfill her dreams by working our way up by completing our higher education with the money we earned working and finding jobs in private sectors and we are settled down in life now.
Now when you are not in power, U seems to complain everything what others are doing. The press freedom which is been given now allow peoples voice to be heard. I am sure during your time nothing can be said or done. U control everything that you feel is a treat to your leadership. I strongly believe that as long as BN remains in power, the people will continue to suffer. We need to get rid of Barisan Nasional and bring in a multi-racial party to power. There should only be two strong multi-racial political parties that compete against each other to serve the country and its citizens. It should not be like now, a coalition party which consists of many racial based parties with UMNO been the king maker. GOD BLESS MALAYSIA AND ITS CITIZENS

    Assalamualaikum Tun & fellow Bloggers…
For a moment I thought this site is blocked by certain groups. Praised Allah swt that TUN manage to overcome the problems arose.
With what had transpired last week, the anouncement on vote of no confidence by SAPP, it lead to an outcry SAPP as treacherous and ungrateful. Within moment, UMNO and BN received tremendous declaration of supports.
Yes I do agree that such announcement lead nowhere. We know that such declaration of no confidence will not affect anything but a show of frustration toward government. With such action, such will cause the PM to evalute and step down as Prime Minister. THIS will not happen, truth be told.
Nevertheless, the result of 2008 election shows that BN and UMNO, along the years from 2004 majority winning, have failed to keep their promises help the MALAYSIAN especially the low-income group. Now with petrol is up together with other goods… the government failed yet again to stabilised the economy and maintained the welfare of society especially the low-income and the middle-income.
BUT how does the vote of no-confidence will effect the government? Basically not much and the government still maintain control. The repercussion is that the government is now aware that even having a majority two third in the parliement, they are not invincible. The opposition is taking every opportunity to check and balance the present government especially on various project.
BUT one would tend to ponder is the opposition would be the same like the present government, to take every opportunity to gain profits. One have to remember that “ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY”… I remembered still my law lecturer kept saying while teaching Law & Politic subjects.
All in all, the leaders should always keep in mind that they are elected by the people, therefore the leader should always take care of the people entirely and not certain group of people that benefits from this leadership.
I agree with TUN’s view and perpective herein yet to wait for the next coming 13th general election is a long journey. I doubt that MALAYSIAN can hold on although I always believe that patience is a virture. I guess MALAYSIAN SOCIETY at large have to change their lifestyle whereas the high-income can maintain with their present life style.
Nevertheless I believe the act made by SAPP is bold and shows that they hold to their principles and believe. Good show SAPP. I pray and hope that the MALAYS AND UMNO have the same guts like SAPP.
Insyallah TUN. Take care & keep on writing on the current issue.

    Assalamualaikum…
Politics is really an interesting topic… what i would really be interested is on language matters… as you know now all sciences and english subjects are taught in english… it is true that it will benefit the students in the future… but what i would like to express here is those students mostly in rural area didnt understand what are they studying… they just simply memorize rather than trying to understand the theory… that is what the teachers that i come across told me… so how is this help the students? as for me i learnt science and mathematics in malay language… i agree that it took me two month to adjust learning from malay to english… but it is not damaging… but what i dont understand is why the ministry of education and higher education keep toying with which language that they want to use… for goodness sake choose one so that the students are not confused… most probably in the future malaysians will acknowledge that we have another language which is ‘rojak’… myself for instance, my biggest problem during public speaking or talking with my friends is i keep on mixing english and malay in my conversation…
another problem is the international students… i know that the government are targetting that at least one of our university will be an apex university within 10 years(which is posibble but might be damaging)… in order to do that we need to recruit at most 10% of the university students are international students… therefore they simply recruit people without any regard whether they can speak english or not… Malaysians learned english since kindergarten, at least when we are in the university we understand what the lecturer trying to say… but these international students most of them cannot speak or understand english… the government did not look for quality students but simply snatch any international people who are interested to further their studies in malaysia just to fulfil the requirements… the impact will not show in short term but in long term the universities are going to face some serious issues…
i still dont understand why cant we use our own language just like japan… all students from around the world who wants to study in japan need to learn japanese language… so i hope tun could give some insights on this matter…

    Tun,
Saya hairan bila Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin nak ambil tindakan?

It’s a same on some of the younger bloggers who lack knowledge of the history of this beloved country of ours – their vicious, vile and vitriolic comments on a popularly elected leader are despicable. Tun M is like a fodder to them. Where are we heading? To utter destruction and moral decadence? Bloggers like Hajar are a living disgrace to our community!

  136. hanson Jun 23,2008 1:57 PM

    Tun,

    KERAKUSAN DYNASTY LAH WI
    Maharaja: PAK LAH
    Tengku Mahkota: KJ
    Bendahara:PAK LAH
    Panglima:KJ
    Penasihat Maharaja: KJ
    Menteri-menteri: ANAK DAN ADIK BERADIK
“Kerakusan” menjadikan “kelemahan Dainasty Lah Wi”
    PENYELESAIANNYA:
Bagaimana maruah bangsa akan kembali di tebus?
    4. MEMATIKAN LANGKAH MUSUH YANG DEGIL, KERAS KEPALA DAN IN DENIEL: Pada dasar nya Pak Lah dan KJ ni keras kepala alias kepala batu. Apakah tindakan kita.?
    1. PENGARUH ONLINE:
    2. PENGARUH OFFLINE:
Menyalurkjan idea-idea TUN melalui saluran mereka sendiri. Mengunakan kepakaran mereka, at no cost kalau boleh, backing idea dan pergerakan TUN.
    Salam perantau dari gunung bintan.

    Dear Ayahnda Tun,
Chorus Line is such an apt description of the burlesque theatre we are witnessing everyday.
What else can we call all the disgusting freakshows, replete with ugly ministers, elected and unelected, and ex government servants lining up to do disgusting highkicks that reveal to all their lack of endowments.

    Salam Tun,
Honestly, by constitution UMNO is good but leaders and leadership UMNO is shit.

Hari ni saya terdengar berita drp radio mengumumkan bahawa rebate akan di beri utk kenderaan 300cc (instead of just up to 200cc). Ini khas utk Sabah dan Sarawak. Kenapa agaknya S & S sahaja?
Selain daripada itu, berita radio pagi tadi pun ada menyatakan bahawa Malaysia look forward to use nuclear power in view of the rising fuel cost. However, the Gov said it will take 15 years before they can move to nuclear technology. Hmm…..I have no idea how this move can resolve our CURRENT issue on the fuel price. Just exactly where are we now in the nuclear industry?well, is it cheaper to generate nuclear energy than to use the oil that is produced by our country?
….Please Dr. M, day by day, they are getting worst. They are insulting the Malays. Obviously are not taking their words seriously. Maybe, they are so busy generating more money that they forgot their duties to the country. I think this is the real reason why so many stupid words came out of their mouths.
    Mungkin juga

    Dearest Yg Berbahgia Tun,
Dengan izin Tun,saya nak komen tentang blogger ABI @ PJ:
    To ABI/PJ:
I believe you are the one who is having problems with your mental..Please show some respect towards Tun M. And let me remind you that you are just a guest here; so please don’t be RUDE. Don’t you have anything positive to say about Tun M? May be it’s about time you review your own mental state (see a specialist) before continue saying whatever things you keep on saying to Yg Berbahgia Tun. I personally am tired of your attitude. You are a LOSER, like DSAAB & Co.
    Maaf Tun. Agak kasar sikit.
As always, may Allah SWT bless Tun & family. Saya sokong Tun..

  152. ABI Jun 23,2008 12:43 PM

I predict that despite your cassandra-like prognosis, UMNO will thrive and prosper. There may be some hiccups for a while, but I have no doubt that it will continue to exist and play a vital role in enhancing the status of the Malays in this country.

    Salam Yang Berbahagia Tun,
Tun, kami berharap Tun teruskan usaha demi masa depan Melayu supaya ‘Tak Melayu Hilang Di Dunia’ dek kerana DSAAB.

  154. mariapun Jun 23,2008 12:39 PM

Memang kalau nak diikutkan PM dah terdesak sekarang ni. Mulanya dia ingat parti SAPP tidak akan ikut pendirian Datuk Yong Teck Lee, tetapi selepas mesyuarat MT SAPP, sebulat suara parti SAPP sokong usul undi tak percaya.
Maknanya disini, ini bukan pandangan peribadi DYTL, tetapi pandangan satu parti komponen BN. Yang masih dok sokong Lah Wi bukan sebab nak sokong sangat, tapi takut kena siasat oleh BPR. Nampak sangat dah terdesak. Siap laman web blog Tun Mahathir pun disekat. Apa semua ni?
Bukan tak faham, tapi memang dah agak Tun punya blog akan disekat. Mana tidaknya, populariti blog Tun Mahathir yang hebat kerana baru sebulan setengah dah capai 2 juta lebih pengunjung. Tu orang-orang kampung ramai tak tahu lagi tu. Kalau tahu, kompom makin ramai.
Apa-apa pun, aku tetap suka baca blog TDM ni. Aku dibesarkan semasa zaman TDM memerintah.

  155. azmany Jun 23,2008 12:38 PM

This is only to be expected, Tun. Party line, ethics, discipline, I need this job, etc..etc. Most of all, everybody has their personal interest at heart and they’re scared how change will affect their interest.
I’m embarassed that SAPP has the guts to come out and state their belief – whilst our own people is hiding in their pants and hoping somebody else will do the deed, we’ll be behind you.
Tun, people in Thailand is coming to the streets asking for change in PM. This is not our culture – but if boiling frustration is not released, the same will happen but will bigger consequences.
Words must translate into action – if not we’ll be guilty as NATO as well. To friends of this blog, when the time come for action – I hope all the posters who said I support you, I agree with you will take up and participate in the action and not shrink back and scared of your own personal interest…. else you’re just the same as the despised sycophants.
    V for Victory

semoga tun dan isteri sentiasa sihat….saya dah tak nampak orang lain lagi yang berani untuk komen PM selain TUN..yang lain cuma kaki kipas…kalo ada pun yang berani, berani sikit2 je, tu pun lepas orang berani macam tun yang mula kan dulu…kalo takde kuasa macam rakyat biasa macam kami ni logiklah jugak berani skit2…ni tak…ada kuasa pun takut2 jugak nak komen PM

  157. Amry Jun 23,2008 12:31 PM

    Taken from wikipedia about pelalak..
1.His maternal grandfather, Ha Su-chiang (also known as Hassan), was a Chinese Muslim who came from Sanya in Hainan..
So i can say that pelala is not a Pure Malay, Ican also say that pelalla will not love Malay as i love malay… but dont get me wrong,, i do not hate chinese but i hate people hat are racis..
using your race to get support. aiyaa… its already more than 50 years we merdeka, i think its time to Delete Umno.. Umno today doesnt support Malay,, it support Cronies. even i do not eneter any polotical party as i think party in malaysia is junk. Umno = cronies, bribe and selfish. Pas = still under the Tempurung. dont have vision, never go anywhere, third class thinking.. When will a real Party that will bring malaysia to a new level, then i will joint it, dear tun, when will you bring a new party, that doesnt just for Malay.
2.”He received a Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies from the University of Malaya in 1964″. for me this is our biggest mistake. all malaysian must learn that experience does not make a good leader, although pak lalah have a long way of experience in politic, its does not mean that he is a god leader in managing a country, many of us will still remember when tun take over the country,, everybody ask does he can managed a country, he is just a doctor?
now looks whos the fool? a bachelor in art? this must be a joke? even my father in law have a higher education,, pak lalah can only write a khat. but not manage a country.. next time malaysian must take note about voting someone to be a leader. cause my kampong in Adun Benut have suffer a brain drain because we vote a man that only goes to year six only, that man is Salehon and what happen to Benut?
it became a dead end.. i fear the same can happen if pak lalah continue to be PM.
    3. In 2005, it was alleged that under Abdullah’s administration, there had been a significant increase in cases of cronyism regarding the distribution of import permits for foreign-manufactured vehicles
even the world who check wikipedia know that pak lalah is a corrupt, but we malaysia is still blind by a rm 650 rebate, i am ashamed to have a leader like pak lelah…

You seem to be waging a “holy war” (jihad) against Pak Lah. Your tirade, personal vendetta, verbal onslaughts, vindictive attitude- all these are reflective of your deteriorating mental faculties. Please have a positive attitude towards people. Pak Lah, as I see it, has done no wrong. He may be weak as a leader, but that does not mean you could defame him. The recent revelations about your transgressions during your rule are disturbing to any ordinary Malaysian. Please, for heaven’s sake, do not adopt a “holier than thou” attitude. As a human being, you are not infallible. You are not a paragon of perfection. Ponder over your own foibles, follies, fiasco, fanaticism and failures before you point an accusing finger at others.Spend your time wisely by praying. Prayer can give you peace of mind. You seem to be troubled in mind at the moment. May God bless you, Tun.

I am not suprised to know that yr website has been blocked. I am sure there are those who felt threatened by your revealing articles. That is the main reason. Look at the amount of readers you are attracting… the impact of your blog is tremendous. Hence, the only way to protect themselves is to STOP you from writing. We are in full support of you!

Semoga Tun sihat selalu dan dirahmati-NYA.

    Assalammualaikum Tun,
With regards to the motion of vote of no confidence against the leadership of Pak Lah @ Orang Tak Tau Malu is actually a slap in his face. We all know with the Chorus Line behind him and the reluctance of DAP to condemn him, the motion may not even make it to the floor.
To me, that is not the issue. The real issue is the credibility of Pak Lah himself. We’ve seen numerous times how he fumbled during his own press conference. Most recently is when he said, “kenderaan empat roda” when he wanted to refer to a four wheel drive which are widely used in Sabah and Sarawak during Bulletin Utama TV3. What make it worse is that such fumble was pointed out to me by my children.
Anyway, something need to happen and it need to happen fast. As we stand, the Orang Tak Tau Malu is not going to step down anytime soon. Not even after the UMNO’s PAU in December. What is feared is that the rakyat, made to suffer due to numerous ecomomic reasons might take the law into their own hands and they might unite under one theme,”Get Rid of Pak Lah at All Cost”.
We’ve seen the fuel Price increase demonstration a couple of weeks ago which was organised by the PR. What will happen is that BN supporters would join with PR on the call for Pak Lah to step down. The call may not come from PR leaders but from PR members and UMNO members who are the suffering rakyat. We really hope that it will not come to that.
I hope and all of the suffering rakyat hope that the transition of power is done soon as most of us have lost confidence in Pak Lah and his band of incompetence cabinets.
    Regards and Wassalam

    Salam Tun,

    Dearest Tun
I emphathise with Ixora and Amar. There is a book written by the niece of Yusof Ishak that studied the situation of the Malays. It might be worth reading.
I would actually recommend Pak Lah and the chorus line to read and expand their horizons so that their decision making is more apt and for the betterment of the rakyat, not rushed and shallow that they have to “flip-flop” all the time.
They are both nice people but we need tough leaders who are not afraid and can manage the international stage as well. We miss your leadership.
The water agreement will expire soon. The bridge has been cancelled. Pulau Batu Putih is no longer Malaysian land. The ban on petrol sale for neighbours is lifted. Lately, the swift action of AAB’s admin to penalise his critcs is uncharacteristic. Hhmmmm …
Semoga Tun selalu sehat walafiat disamping keluarga dan teman2 setia.

teruskan menulis Tun! I’m addicted to your blog!

  170. mistikana Jun 23,2008 10:58 AM

    Assalamualaikum tun,
First time sy tulis dalam blog ni.
sy anak penoreh getah, keluarga susah, adik beradik ramai. sy telah berjaya bekerja di bandar sebab berjaya dalam pelajaran.kejayaan ni sebab dasar tun yang selalu buat sy bersemangat selalu, sy graduate pd thn 1998(waktu krisis ekonomi). Susah sungguh nak dpt kerja masa tu Tun. nasib baik Tun dapat pulihkan ekonomi malaysia, kalau tak tentu saya masih susah sampai sekarang. Nak mintak tolong family, diorang kat kg pun susah. Dulu bahasa inggeris langsung sy tak tau, sekarang bolelah sikit2, kalau mat saleh dtg soal mana ‘national monument’ bolelah sy jawab.
Sy geram betul dgn kerajaan AAB sekarang ni, dia ni asyik dok dengar lagu saja, tak suka baca buku…bila berucap pun kita bole tau, cakap berulang-ulang sebab takda idea nak cakap apa, nampak sangat kelemahan seorang ketua. tapi masih ramai jugak rakyat yang tak perasan…

  171. ujikanlah Jun 23,2008 10:57 AM

    Assalamualaikum Tun,
Salam.

    Salam Tun,
Patutlah hari Jumaat hari tu saya banyak kali reload web Tun ni asyik keluar cerita yang lama je. So agak membosankanlah hari Jumaat hari tu kerana tiada info terbaru.
Yang tragisnya, masa malam tu saya siap termimpi yang Tun dah pergi tak kembali, sedih sangat saya masa tu. Mujurlah hanya mimpi.
Pasal komen pengomen disini, harap-harap kita semua tak guna abusive language/words. Kita kena sama-sama tanggungjawab agar blog Tun terus kekal.
So bila Pak Lah dah rasakan dia dah cukup ilmu nak tulis blog, barulah dia akan letak jawatan kot. I guess not!.. huhuhu.
Apa-apapun keep on writing Tun. Teruskan usaha murni Tun.
    Salam takzim.

I am one of the Singaporean attracted by your recent estabished weblog because of its robust discussions and debates on issues that affecting the lives of many Malaysian especially the high costs of living. Of course, I do agreed with the views expressed in your blog, you had been a prime architect (for 22 years at helm as a PM)in developing Malaysia to the stage which all Malaysian are proud of it. As a Singaporean, we are equally proud of your achievements and I believe that our Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew feel the same way. I also trust that most of the Malaysian are excited of our progress and prosperity for this tiny nation. To say Singaporean are jealous of your achievements is the under-statement. Moreover, it will not do any good to further strengthen our cordial neighbourhood relationships. Therefore, we should therefore refrain from making any statements that are self fulfulling. Instead, to concentrate on finding more common grounds so that we can progress together more effectively. Best regards to all. Michael

    Assalamualaikum Tun,
“KAMI SOKONG 100%” kata mereka.
    Terima Kasih Tun.
    Selamat Berjuang…
p/s:- Sudah 2 juta pengunjung tiba-tiba pula ada masalah yer. Belum lagi sampai 10 juta pengunjung… kot2 satu Malaysia internet tergendala.
Katanya “How can you be in family and not want the fathe (AAB), in the family (BN)”.
    Komen saya mengenai kenyataan itu:-
Ni Grandfather (Tun Mahathir) tengah bercakap / menulis memberi nasihat kamu semua tak mahu dengar. Mestilah anak-anak kamu ikut perangai kamu tak menghormati ayahnya.

Bernama reported that Sungai Rapat assemblyman Hamidah Osman urged you to return to Umno and contribute in making changes in the party from within and you responded by appealing to Umno members and leaders to be loyal to themselves, the race, religion and country.”
You also said you would only return to Umno if the members and leaders stop giving support to leaders blindly.
Yes,yes, yes, Tun. You are absolutely right. Some of the UMNO members are really “BLIND,DEAF AND DUMB”. They don’t have any more principle and their moral value is GROUND ZERO!
As I said earlier in my previous remark that the only moral that they have is when they want to “BERAK” they still remember to close the toilet door.

    Dear Tun,
Man proposes God disposes. May Allah bless all individuals whose intentions are to save this Nation and incur frustrations amongst those whose actions are deleterious to Malaysia. God Willingly strategic planning is vital to save Malaysia from corrupters. Let us remind ourselves with the following verses from the Quran :
“Thus have We placed leaders in every town, its wicked men, to plot (and burrow) therein: but they only plot against their own souls, and they perceive it not” (Surah Al-An’am , verse 123) and Surah Al-Fil, verse 2 which states “Did He not make their treacherous plan go astray?”.

    Salam Tun & rakan2 semua,
Tun,what you said is true,BN is occupied with sycophant whom don’t know or pretentiously don’t know what SAPP’s demand. They only voice out have no confidence towards PM ONLY but not BN.
Disebabkan berebut2 nak jaga kepentingan diri sendiri maka dorang ni semua sanggup jadi “balaci” si Badawi dengan mengutuk SAPP dan “mengipas” si Badawi. Kalu dah berani sgt ngape x buang je SAPP dari BN?? Kalu si Badawi tu still dok atas takhta PM tu nampaknya PRU13 ni satu kerusi DUN & MP pun BN tak dapat…bungkus habis.
Maaf Tun,a bit strident statement..geram sangat dah!!
Semoga Tun dan Tun Dr Hasmah berada didlm keadaan sihat & sejahtera hendaknya… Wassalam…

  183. Servant of God Jun 23,2008 10:21 AM

    Assalamualaikum Dear Tun and visitors,
I have so far been content to limit myself to reading Tun’s blogs, feeling a better educated person everytime I do so.
But no more. Reading is no longer enough. Two websites, maybe more, critical of the selfish people controlling this country have been tampered with. This is too much.
My dear visitors, the time has come for us to do more than visit chedet.com. Many of us have called upon Tun to resume his mantle of leadership, or at least lead the charge to kick that drooling idiot out of office.
But, my fellow readers. Tun will not be around forever. And, we are the ones who will inherit the country. Isn’t it time that we did something, instead of just asking Tun to “please do something”.
Tun HAS done something. For 22 years he has set an example for us, telling us we have to learn how to do things for ourselves. So let us do something.
What shall we do? Start small. That’s what I’m doing. I have no political experience, I am not active in any organizations. But I’m starting by spreading Tun’s words. I have been printing Tun’s articles and sending them to my relatives back in my kampung. A pathetic effort? Maybe. But it’s something. If you want to know why we should do this, drop by to http://alizzati.blogspot.com/
    Dear Tun & friends,
The time has come for us to ACT! We are the young ones. Younger ones, anyway. Are we not ashamed to ask an 80 year old man to lead the way? Let us walk in front and let him guide us with experience unlike any other person’s.
Everyone, let’s each of us do our part. I’m sure everyone can think of something. Let’s kick that lamebrain AAB out of power, for our sake, and for the sake of our children.
By the way, to that person who in an earlier post suggested that Tun should stand in front of the FRU, shame on you. Tak malu nya kamu, wahai manusia kerdil. Biarlah kamu berseloroh sekalipun, tidakkah kamu segan kepada Tun?

  184. effi Jun 23,2008 10:17 AM

Kalau kerajaan sekarang tidak membuat sesuatu yg positive/magical/constructive within these 4 years, I’ll bet they’ll go down. They cannot waste their time even for a minute. Unless if they are brilliant enough to do something that can win the ppls heart. If not, then i agree with Tun Dr. Mahathir that BN & UMNO will totally destroy on PRU13.

  186. Tun Jebat Jun 23,2008 10:14 AM

    Tutup Mulut…
    Tidak Melawan…
Sentiasa jadi Pak Turut KJ & CO.

    Salam Tun.
So, nothing’s stopping them right Tun? I heard this morning on the radio, they are gonna have two petrol pumps, 1 for locals, 1 for foreigners. And they are going to identify the difference using car’s registration no. They must be joking aren’t they? Why cant they think of something more valid? like i/c? unless the foreigners can easily get Malaysian i/c, there must be a logical explanation for it. I mean car registration no?? I can be some foreigner working in Malaysia, driving a Malaysian car registration no, and who can justify that i cant buy petrol as locals do? For God’s sakes..

    Assalammualaikum wbt, Tun,
Your comments on the current events in the country I applaud. We are seeing price of goods increasing, as the cost of living for these past few years. My questions are, where and what are the government’s expenditures? We do not see developments that are relevant towards the country, unnecessary spendings that does not benefit the Rakyat. What are the relevances of the so called Economic Regions and Corridors? I, an ordinary citizen feels not just a pinch on the thigh, but more of a punch to the gut with the present scenarios that is affecting almost all.
Look forward to your next topic Tun.
    Wassalam

  191. kamarul Jun 23,2008 9:53 AM

    Tun,
Selepas saya mendengar lagu favourite Tun, My Way (frank sinatra), baru saya faham perasaan Tun dulu..
Maybe the current Prime Minister pun ada dia punya “own way” kot (hehehehe) yang menyebabkan few “unrest” politically, economically and socially…
    Salute you Tun. Lyrics below..
    ——————————————————————
    My Way
And now, the end is near
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, I’ll say it clear,
I’ll state my case, of which I’m certain.
    I’ve lived a life that’s full.
I travelled each and ev’ry highway
And more, much more than this,
    I did it my way.
    Regrets, I’ve had a few
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.
    I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway,
And more, much more than this,
    I did it my way.
Yes, there were times, I’m sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall
    And did it my way.
I’ve loved, I’ve laughed and cried.
I’ve had my fill, my share of losing.
    And now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.
To think I did all that
And may I say – not in a shy way,
“Oh no, oh no not me,
    I did it my way”.
For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows
    And did it my way!

Mereka imput info bahawa kerajaan BN rasuah. Ketua kerajaan bolot wang! Yang Dr. Mahatir bukan keturunan Melayu???
Semua yang input blog kalau zaman Tun dahulu penghianat membacah belah rakyat (ISA?). Tetapi sekarang semua orang nak berpolitik tanya serba seri.
Sekian, selamat bersara dan look after your health, please.
    Wassalamualaikum.

    Salam Tun,

Real political leadership has never been more important to Malaysia. At a time when the whole socio-political landscape, as well as the physical landscape, is undergoing fundamental change, our political leaders reflect the growing failure of our political system to promote talent.
Malaysian politics has become almost devoid of substantive debate. This has happened for a number of reasons, but perhaps the most important is the increasingly pervasive role of the mass media in shaping ideas about our society. In reality, the mass media have pretty much taken over political discourse in this country. Newspapers set the agenda for the main players, who can still read, and TV and radio keep the punters informed. This is of course a disaster.
The most successful politician of recent times has shown how the mix of a dominant media and a scared and ignorant public can be exploited to gain and maintain political office. Abdullah has proved himself a master at following the lead of the media, a lead basically and increasingly constructed in the Malaysia. Abdullah, was already primed to take on this role, but his manipulation of growing insecurity has been something to see.
So political leadership in Malaysia has come down to who can most closely follow the script provided by the mass media. Abdullah is just the most effective actor, not the only one. The ranks of our political leaders – those who are at or near the top of our state and federal political power structures – are filled with such unprincipled opportunists. By and large, our political leaders are not very intelligent, not very honest and loathe to do anything, of Yes, Minister might call “courageous”. How did it come about that the people making the key decisions for Malaysia are so inept, shortsighted and unprincipled?
May ALLAH enlightened us with the TRUTH and bless us all.

Malapetaka akan berlaku kepada orang-orang Melayu sekira Abdullah masih menjadi PM, Orang-orang Melayu perlu memikirkan cara terbaik untuk menyinkirkan Abdullah sebelum terlambat..Wahai Orang-orang Melayu bertindak lah sekarang. Pepatah baru yang berbungi : “Orang Melayu Telah Hilang Didunia Kerana Abdullah Badawi” Rela kah orang-orang Melayu jadi begini….

  203. Amar Makruf Jun 23,2008 8:17 AM

    4) Membiarkan kementerian membuat keputusan tanpa diawasi/dikawal oleh ketua – No leadership
    30) Kes penyelewengan [“wang ehsan”=royalti minyak] kerajaan Terengganu.

  204. Azrin Abbas Jun 23,2008 8:15 AM

    Assalamualaikum Tun,
As a Malaysian, it is sad to see how the country is progressing and the direction it is moving towards to. It is even frustrating to understand that there is a group of people up there that tends to not to see us down here when we were the ones who put them up there.
In case of Pak Lah, I just wonder how he could put down his head each night to sleep. How could he not see that all of these are history in the making. I won’t be suprised that one day my children or my grandchildren would be reading about all of these in their primary or secondary Sejarah textbooks. Just like what I have read and learnt of the Kesultanan Melayu Melaka that succumbed, which started off with greed.
Probably history will repeat itself. Probably we can prevent it. Or not. It’s up to us. Or them, as a matter of fact.

  205. rossi Jun 23,2008 8:04 AM

    Dear TUN,
No wonder there was no posting for quite some days. I was like back-and-forth to your blog everyhour to read new posting.
BTW, I agreed to your game theory about the current political scenario and I believed you (and some of the us) could expect the next AAB and chorus line next steps.
Keep on posting and keep on pressing. There will be some noises along the way.
Take care Tun, may ALLAH bless you and family.
Your are relevant and “they” knows.

  206. eugene Jun 23,2008 7:59 AM

    Dearest Tun.
I agree with you Tun. The next general election will be a disaster for BN. Everyone I talk to felt BN are totally not relevant anymore. No one that I know appreciate Pak Lah at all. He’s totally unpopular to the extend that the sight of him on the tv screen is a good enough reason to change channel. Its that bad.
Being a BN supporter all this while, I am worried about the direction this country will face when the opposition took over.
I pray for Tun good health always.

    Salams Tun.
I agree with your comment. As it is, I am very angry with the PM and his sychophants with what is happening to our country. I see my own race, who are actually the worst off compared to the other races,…HIndraf or not, I worry for my children and grandchildren once the opposition takes over the country. It will turn out to be more like Singapore and the Malays will be cast aside while the others rule our country. I will never, never forgive the UMNO for doing this to my beloved country.

  209. Pura Kelana Jun 23,2008 6:50 AM

My generation and my fathers generation have gone separate ways after Tun left the government. Even before that I was having problems communicating with my parents when it comes to politics.
I was not an ardent fan of yours in certain issues. I was really sad when you left the government though as we were at the peak of everything.
My parents before supported you. But their reason for now supporting Pak Lah is because he is the credited leader and as citizens they felt that they needed a leader that was elected by Malaysians. I told them of your blog, even bought them an internet line … but since they are a bit weary of computers … it didnt work.
Orang kampung like my parents needed your chedet.com to be published. Thats the only way for them to know whats happening through your mind. Although I am sure there will be some legalities for you to print them out as hard copy, that is the only way for your true heartfelt thoughts to be heard by all.
I am very proud of Tun. I read your compilation of letters from dignitaries and I felt proud. Perhaps something like that will assist your messages acrross.
Thanks Tun for changing my familys life from what we were to what we are now. Thanks to Pak Lah .. my familys life is going back to what we were … nothing.

Sooner or later, the old song will come the an end, and the chorus wont fit the new song.
Just like any pop songs, people will just tune to a new one. Pak Lah songs are becoming too predictable, and we are getting real bored.
For the chorus singers, do they know where they’re going next. Nobody seems have any clues, with the oil crisis etc.
Pak Lah will be so busy entertaining “requests” with his lousy songs, make us wonder who’s running his office.

  214. alangsedayu Jun 23,2008 5:05 AM

    Salam Tun.
Insyaallah.

    Salam Tun
My first entry to blogging. Been reading your blog since, just found the guts to comment.
Bloggers.com blocking your comment, seem like another attempt at muzzling freedom of speech ,by the so called transparent and liberal govt. I might be wrong .
A strong govt, do not need chorus of support only the weak one does.
Anyway, the flip flopping of decision by the govt. of the day is
embarassing. Two pump system , one for local and the other for foreigner. What kind of strategic planning and by whom? Who will monitor and implement this. What next?
    Thank you.

Maaf Tun, adakah bahasa saya ni kasar. Harap tidak ada masalah.
    Terima kasih Tun.

  218. TokUban Jun 23,2008 2:26 AM

Just glad to be among the first to comment.
The problem with Malaysia now is that the PM is at Ketua Kampung level of thingking. Std Ketua Kampung ni biasa la boleh mentadbir setakat suruh orang kampung tanam sayur, jaga kambing, bela lembu.. dan bersawah padi. Ketua Kampung mana pikir mcm mana nak bawa negara ke pentas dunia.
Najib pun satu hal. Macam kena pegang ekor. Panjat kata orang panjat lah dia .. terjun kata orang terjun lah dia. Kalau sekarang pun dia dah tak boleh kawal keadaan dan jadi pak turut macam mana nak ambil alih pentadbiran negara. Tak payah ada peralihan kuasa. Pilih saja orang lain.
Hari ini SAPP buat hal. Baru berape bulan selepas PRU12. Komponen yg hanya dua kerusi parlimen pun dah berani memberontak.

  219. Hjebat Jun 23,2008 2:12 AM

    Dear Tun Dr M,
Abdullah says he cannot step down now as he needs to help strengthen UMNO & the BN at their difficult time; and not so much so after the recent poor performance in the general election. But Abdullah should know that his stewardship and decision making did contribute to the poor election performance where 5 out of every 10 Malaysians voted against the BN. This is very serious. He should realise that his very act of staying on is the reason that is further weakening UMNO & the BN.
On the other hand, if Abdullah steps down now, he would go out in disgrace as a failed Prime Minister. So as in the Malay tradition, we ought to give him time to architect the handover so that he could come out of this with some honour and dignity. Don’t be so mean to him. This is what has been taught to us by our forefathers.
But will his delay give room for others outside the BN to topple him and his deputy and wipe out the BN government altogether? If the answer is Yes, then he ought to go ASAP.

  220. editorialblog Jun 23,2008 2:06 AM

    Yg berbahagia Tun,
I marvelled how you have worked for the good 22 years during your tenure as a PM, the energy that you have focused is really amazing. I could not imagined how you have managed so good even Lee Kuan Yew become so jealous ( of course he would not admit it, KIASU lah nak katakan) . Yang Berbahagia Tun Dr Siti Hasmah must be your closest think tank and companion that you could never go without her. ( What a loving and examplary couple ).
Tun, How all of us missed you ( including the Chorus Line , but these people think they want to feed 7 generations of their family members , so them say Saya SOKONG . Kalau bangkang , mesti BPR datang cari dan buka case utk dibuat siasatan seperti yg berlaku kpd Datuk Yong SAPP).
I am quite disqusted with the way the former judges so emotionally bad mouth you during the ex gratia payment by Zaid. The scenario is just like the old man from the old folk home getting duit raya and cursing their sons for neglecting them .
    Terima kasih.

    Dearest Tun
Pak Lah has just reversed the decision to charge foreigners a different price for sale of petrol. Najib said that it is not to subside foreigners AND also to reveal to the rakyat the real market price of petrol.
Was the reason to help the rakyat or was it to convince the rakyat that Pak Lah’s govt is KIND in charging 2 different prices.
Are the foreign advisors working overtime, I wonder??
Do take care of your health. Glad to be able to continue reading your thoughts.
